In March 2019, FunDza ran a writing workshop called My Heritage, My Dreams, with a group of young writers at Ikamva Labantwana Bethu in Old Crossroads, Cape Town. The project was sponsored by The Western Cape Department of Arts and Culture, Sports and Recreation.
The workshop was about writing for expression and developing writing skills that will help these emerging writers to develop their unique voice and make their writing more powerful and polished. The writing gives a view into the world of the writers – their hopes and dreams, their families and their communities.
