June month is called Youth onth because the youth in 1976 fought against the law apartheid government in south Africa for us to be free as we're in nowadays

we are now celebrating June 16 because Soweto students took a strike against apartheid act..where they were expected to learn in Afrikaans...but they refused...that's where the fight began....they faced police army... but unfortunately other Soweto students got shot because they were unprotected like Hector Peterson.

The month (June ) in South Africa is celebrated as a ''Youth Month" where Soweto students approved to strike against the apartheid act where South African students were expected to study the world using Afrikaans language ...they imerge in vast numbers and face the police army in 16 June some got shot such as the likes of Hector Peterson ....

It is called June 16 because we celebrate the day of youths who fought for us because of the law that wanted them to study all subjects with Afrikaans so that led them to apartheid.

The youth of today are facing so many challenges and the elder don't even care about it because they say that's what is happening to our generation ...so many youth are now doing drugs ,so are being impregnated and non is caring or go into detail abt the caurses..youth of today are doing this because in our African continent there are no jobs and that is the most factor why our generation is moving on the wrong direction...

The challenges of today's youth is unemployment,drugs and crime in our country.June 16 should be celebrated in a particular way of honouring the remberance of those who lost their lives during apartheid because youth of today don't know the importance of june 16.we now live in fear because of a crime that is taking place in our county.today's youth are using the right with a manner that is not good at all but we shall not take advantage of the rights we have.many people lost their lives during apartheid for us to have freedom and the rights to be equal from education,race to be one nation.

For today's challenges for the youth to face is that most young people are being taken away from the families and losing there lives on the streets because of the crime in our country,if we are like yous claim we all are supposed to be free from the apartheid , why don't we feel safe nor free . This was a good speech/true story to read & I do wish more people could realise what a 'Youth day' really means to be celebrated & what people in history went through for all of us in the past . Todays society is just messed up , and somedays it breaks for me to see what our country has become of. I just want to feel safe and free .
