Rick Sphamandla Mthembu is a young writer born in Amaoti, Durban in the province of KwaZulu-Natal (where most of his stories’ are set). He is a very passionate writer who likes to challenge social opinions through his writings. He works temporarily as a teacher assistant in a local school at Amaoti. Rick Mthembu writes in both isiZulu and English. His stories are inspiring and touching, and he has been writing for the Fundza Literacy Trust for 3 years.
