I am a Podcast Host, An Award Winning Global Content Creator, South African Artist, Film Television and Live Performance Graduate, Motivational Speaker and Certified Author.
For years I always visited the Freemode online didn’t know I could use my gifts on it and so I didn’t really pay Attention the level of “sharing my poems”. Fast forward in life, I grew older and wiser. The first week of lockdown had me search a lot of things on Google, one of them was “Where/How To Submit My Poems Online In South Africa” (I have forgotten that FunDza was there) and then FunDza pop-up in The Search Results. My subconscious kicked-in early this year, I started writing more and more poems, then I used the ‘FreeBasics’ site again and saw the email FunDza to which I should submit my poems to. I sent, submitted and then BOOM! I’m Out Sharing my wisdom, love and knowledge with the untapped South African Market. Thank You FunDza.
How has the journey of reading and writing for enjoyment shaped/ contributed to my life life?
No 1. It helped me to not dropout of High School when I failed Grade 7. I write a lot, today I’m still busy writing my first book (autobiography and many short stories) apart fromy raps and poems.
No 2. I am a university graduate because of reading and writing. I still can’t believe that I’m done with 3 years of tertiary education studies, that’s what reading and writing did to me. It made me achieve my goals quicker than I thought.
No 3. I would’ve never been on National Television and Radio, if it wasn’t for reading and writing. If I had no raps, no poems, no skills or no knowledge of anything, why would they have wanted to showcase/feature me in their content? That’s the power of reading and writing, turned me into this this underrated Champion.
