The night was dark and Chichi’s heart was beating fast when she noticed the door wasn’t unlocked. Her mother didn’t hear the noise because Chichi heard her snoring loudly. She lurked outside like a thief and saw a giant monolith in the pavement. It was taller than her,she hide behind a tree and saw it looked dark but shiny. The stars were reflecting on it.
Footsteps echoed in the direction of the monolith,she peered the tree and saw three humanlike creatures muttering a foreign language. The chills in her spine turned cold,fer engulfed her whole body and she trembled.Sweat slid her back that she felt the cold air.
‘ The aliens,’ she thought.
They had huge eyes and they had long thin fingers like chicken feets. Chichi wanted to run but it would alert the strange aliens and they would eat her up . That’s all the fear she had and thought.
She peered again and saw they were green skinned with black eyes ,skinny statue,the nose looked like two deep hole and mouth was embroided with a thick lining.
She took deep breaths and sensed the sound of breath was louder. The foreign languages paused and she covered her mouth ,her heart thudding. Suddenly it was quiet and she snooped and saw the aliens had disappeared. She tiptoed into the house and slammed the door. The keys dropped on the floor ,she picked them up them quickly . Her hands were shaky and she had a horrific look on her face. The key fell down again and she grasped. She bending ,holding over her knees out of breath.
” Come on ,lock the door. God save me and my mother,” she encouraged herself with hope.She hold the key tightly and press it inside correctly and locked the door. She took a deep breath and exhaled deeply.
There was another loud thud but she wasn’t going to check again. Her mind was driving her crazy. She was still processing the fear in her about the three aliens that she sw. She jumped in bed and clutched over her blankets tightly ,feeling her heart beating fast as if it would burst out of chest. Her body was shaking. She grabbed her phone because it was vibrating. It was notification on Facebook.
A triangle shaped object was seen in Washington DC. She plugged her earphones and listen attentively but she got distracted to the nose outside. She heard a scream and hoped it was not coming from inside their home. The scream echo seemed to get in low tune as she concentrated on video.
After some minutes she found a video of a secret place in America with robots that were build.
” The robot seemed to be created to fight against aliens. The pyramid seen in the sky was the main object which was releasing the small UFOs identified around he globe. We waiting for the president to tell us how to handle the aliens invasion,” a voice spoke in the video.
The voice said it was Leon Cleore,she didn’t know who he was or he was a researcher . Chichi knelt down to pray but no words came. She remembered at church they spoke the world will end but no one knew the time. She wondered if this Jesus was a alien because no one had seen Jesus. She wondered where aliens had came from. She assumed they were in the galaxy . Who had made them remained a mystery? Why was the aliens coming to take over their place they called home?
Her friend had send a message that was alarming that she saw the aliens taking her neighbor ‘s body and a few moments later she was acting like a zombie ,talking like a robot that was computerized. She recalled even her supervisor at work spoke about his wife . Mmà Masila and her grandson were now zombies too and very soon it was coming for them.
” God please hear my pray,” she rubbed her fingers roughly with her chest palpitating. Confusion rise in her head as she tried to close her eyes. Did God really exist? If the aliens are taking over the earth what would become of humans? Was this what God wanted ? No,the devil took over the earth and now he is in control. The devil was the alien,she suspected . Where were the aliens all along for many decades? Why were they only appearing now? Maybe they had became stronger than before ,this was their time to take over . She had no answers only assumptions.
A scream echoed in the house and she jumped her bed and raced to her mother who stood near the stove and a strange green humaroid was beside it. It had no eyes,her mother trembled with her face covered with her hands.
” Leave our house,” she shouted with courage.
The alien open it eyes,she realized they could disfigure themselves. It spoke inaudible words.
” I said leave ,get out,” she shouted again and it lifted it long hands with long fingers and muttered inaudibly again.
It opened the door and left. She quickly locked the door and peered through the window. There were more than five strange aliens with green and blue colors standing around as if they were discussing or in a meeting.
“Ma,are you okay?” she helped her mother up and her mother was now looking different.
” Why wouldn’t I” she dusted herself and went to bed. Chichi questioned herself if the aliens had changed her mother or it was her imagination.
