She stood and peered through window and heard the aliens speaking in English,she wondered why? The aliens werea group of fifty but she had lost count . They were speaking a language she had never heard before at MMa Masila’ s house.She took a deep sigh and was eavesdropping them.
” We all can behave like human from now.”
” We’re taking over.”
” We have to behave like them and strike.”
” You did well by programming us ,now we have to go back to our newbody and behave.”
” Zonk and Ziro are zombies,they need to be like us.”
” Lick,go and set this program in them.”
” They can’t know we are aliens. be wise.”
” Let’s go to our post.”
Chichi couldn’t figure who was speaking because their voice sounded the same and tone was the same. Where aliens programmed like robots? She looked inside the house and saw her mother snoring as usual. She looked like she was sound sleepy.
” I hope mama wasn’t taken by aliens,” she took a deep relief as if all was still the best.
Later she fell in deep sleep. She found herself in a horrible dream. A figure like her mother appeared in front of her. But her face looked disfigured.Her tone sounded like the one she heard earlier from the aliens. She walker closer to ound Glenda’s face slit open. A tiny green creatures sit inside the head as if it controlled her mother’s entire body. She screamed and the scene vanish as a thick smoke.
She found herself in other dream,she was hiding behind a tress when she heard aliens were whispering among her mother. Her heart wanted to explode,it beating was uncontrollable. Her stomach rolled as if there were stones inside. The presence of aliens made the air smell different , there was a stench and she felt cufelt up around her body like a anaconda squeezing out its prey,
” You have to change your daughter or she will one of the meat we give to our dragon master,” a voice spoke .
” Don’t worry I will change her,”Glenda assured them. She looked back behind with a evil grin .
” We don’t want to destroy everyone but those who refuse we have no option but to serve them to the dragon,” the same voice spoke. Chichi peered and wondered how she was going to escap from the clutch they were setting for her.
They both shook their heads in agreement and left. Glenda looked back again as its she knew Chichi was hiding behind her. Their eyes met and fear made Chichi run to where she didn’t know where. She ran for few minutes and realized no one was coming from her . She woke up swifty ,her body was sweatings as if the events were happening in real She felt exhausted and her foot pained . She was not sure if she had a dream or it was actually happening.
” Mom,” she jumped from the bed and rushed opening doors in search for mother. She found her washing the dishes but she was not singing as she always did. Maybe today was a different day,her mother loved doing chores murmuring a song. She swooped her in her arms behind her to hug her. She missed Glenda had the most amazing smile and sweet eyes but she didn’t even respond.
” Morning Mama,” she gasped and leaned on the pink painted wall. Her mother looked back and continued without uttering a word.
” What’s for breakfast?” she wandered through the pots and the stove.
” You have to be one of us,” Glenda muttered in a low tune.
She jumped and nearly dropped the jar which she brushed with her elbow in shock. She had a withering look,
” What?”she asked with fear.
” What do you want for b-r-e-a-k-f-a-s-t?” Glenda said slowly as a robot.
She pinched herself in hope it wasn’t a dream but she looked around and knew this was happening.Sadness rushes through her life through the mind. She fekt like the universe was swallowing her.Her heart pounded and the cold air slipped through her skin and she leaned on the wall flustered and confused. She thought it was a joke and exhaled harshly staring at her mother in fear.
‘ This can’t be happening’
” Are you okay ? Mama …….,” she got interrupted when her mother pulled her arm roughly and she saw a long green strange tongue trying to lick on her skin and she screamed.
She woke up from her bed to realize she was still in her room . She recalled that she had another terrible dream.She took two deep breaths holding on to her chest and sighed.
