I walked into a room full of people

Children, parents, grandparents.

They were all crying.

I stared at them, and eventually I started crying,

I cried louder than them.

After a minute, they entered the room

And asked, what is wrong?

With concerned faces, they repeated,

What is wrong?

I don’t know, I said.

Everything is fine

Everything is hard

Everything is complicated

I don’t know

But crying makes everything feel fine.

They looked at each other,

Whispering to one another,

Suddenly they joined

And cried.

The room was filled with different souls crying.

And the tears were like a flood in a winter season.

I stopped, I looked at them,

Stand up, stand up, stand up, I said.

Wear your heart on your sleeve,

Stand up!

It’s ok to cry,

It’s ok not to be ok

Because mental breakdown is real.

Stand up, walk, heal, lookup

And find peace.

The mental breakdown is real.
