His composed physique amazes me
It is his bravery that catalysed our freedom
1915 is now a century gone
Yet his story will continue to resonate
The man who started a revolution that ousted
Thangata and white supremacy were deep-rooted
There once lived a pastor
Who said enough is enough
And picked machetes to fight
In that way freeing his people from their plight
Let this be a lesson to the masses
Sometimes you have got to fight
Even when the oppressor is powerful
Because the sole courage to stand
Speaking against injustice
Seeking your dignity
Makes you a hero by default
