I am a writer 

So what 

I am so hard proud of it 

I pounce my chest in and out about it 

My words mend the brokenhearted 

Heal the wounded soldier’s emotions 

I am a writer who isn’t afraid to show it 

I don’t imitate others 

But I am proud of being solely me…

Writers are often being criticized 

But our work helps millions to cope 

Our words are medicine that eases mental depression that is continuing to plague the society

I am a writer because pen and paper are my food 

Without them, I am famine intolerance 

So go ahead critique writers with your self-righteous 

But deep down inside you know you read our work like addicts 

I am a writer so what 

I heal hearts that are broken 

Souls that are lost and wandering around 

Lift up low self-esteem and give a booster shots 

Again I say I am a writer 

You can go ahead critique me for being a writer

But knowing that my words heal people that’s good enough for me…..

I am a writer because I love to change the world’s perceptions of things through words 

I am not trying to be someone else’s that I am not 

I won’t let someone else opinion of me dictate how my behaviour
