Thandeka said “not bad” and then she asked him the same question and he said “I have been busy, very busy”. The two walked together not saying anything to each other and Thandeka was thinking how awkward it was so she said “for how long will you be in town” and he answered that he will be leaving the day after tomorrow. Thandeka stops and tells Chulumanco to go back as she was about to reach her home and so the two bid farewell, Chulumanco calls Thandeka and she turns back and looks at him. “My number remains the same all these years” and he left, Thandeka was left puzzled, thinking about what he meant by that.

Thandeka enters the house and puts the bag on the table and sits down lost in her thoughts, her sister sits next to her and asks what happened out there. “Zen I met Chulumanco today” and Zen was shocked asked what happened between them, Thandeka answered “he walked me home and told me that his number is still the same, what does he mean?!”. Zen just laughed at her and told her that it was obvious that he wanted to patch things up, Thandeka was not on the same page as him, she told her sister that she and him were no longer teenagers, she would only be his burden. But she did not mean that, she wanted to be with him so badly but because of her poor situation she could not dare to think about getting back together with him.

Thandeka could not sleep thinking about what Chulumanco has said earlier and on the other side Chulumanco could not go to bed hoping to receive a call from Thandeka, he got tired of waiting and takes his phone and dial’s Thandeka number “you are still awake, don’t always stay up so late at night, it’s bad for your health ” . Thandeka coldly asked what he wanted because the two of them were not familiar with each other and Chulumanco said “don’t hang up the call, I will be there in a minute ” and got into his car and drove to see Thandeka. He parked outside her house and told her to come out, Thandeka with a phone on her ear looks outside the window and see’s Chulumanco outside standing next to the car and he says “don’t just stand there, come out its cold out here.”
