Thandeka comes out running and asks what he was doing there so late at night but Chulumanco told her to get into the car as she was trying to be stubborn, Chulumanco just opened the door and helped her to get inside. He drove to a place where there are no houses nearby and Thandeka asked what he was trying to do. Chulumanco told her that the starry night looks more beautiful when there are no lights, he turns to her and straightforwardly says “Thandeka, let’s get back together”. Thandeka was shocked and asked if he was crazy, Chulumanco said that he was not crazy but he has been holding back for five years and he could no longer do it. She told him that they are no longer young and she had nothing to give him and that if they were to be together she would only be his burden.

Chulumanco takes her hands and says ” I don’t want you to give me anything except for your love, I don’t want to sound like a freak but I must confess this, for the past five years I have been keeping tabs on you. I worked hard everyday to be successful so that I can be able to give you everything that you want and need, I know I’m not perfect and I have hurt you a lot before but I have been hurting a lot too ever since that phone call. Before, I looked at your honest heart and thought that if I don’t have anything else to give you except love then I don’t deserve you because you are the best woman”. Thandeka was puzzled, not knowing what to say, she always thought that she had so much to say to him but now she was stuck. “Thandeka I have loved you for more than five years, even before I confessed my love to you that winter, I had already liked you for a very long time and these past years I have never been able to move on, I have been waiting for this day when I confess my love to the only love of my life once more. Thandeka, I love you, please be my girlfriend.”

“Love and luck rarely comes my way, I do not want to have any regrets”, Thandeka thought to herself, so she nodded her head as a sign of agreeing. Chulumanco was so happy that he started crying and hugged Thandeka tightly and said “Thandeka do you know that you are my dream, my obsession and my drive. The fact that I wanted to take care of you for the rest my life gave me strength to work even harder, I prayed to God everyday that you wait for me a little longer. I love you, my woman”. Thandeka and Chulumanco cried and hugged each other happily.

“Chulumanco I have loved you with love that is both true and strong, I never wanted this love to become a memory but I wanted this love to wait for its owner and now that it has returned to its owner, I have no regrets. I love you, my man.”
