Here I am, sitting alone
Wondering when will it ever come to an end
Living this kind of life in our country
People killing each other like chickens
Prices have gone high for everything
I’m wondering in times to come
How are we going to survive
Neighbours turned against each other
There are no helping hands anymore
If I help this person, will I have enough for myself?
This is everyone’s question nowadays
Crime is an everyday thing
You have to be always cautious when going out
People will rather watch you get robbed than help you
I don’t blame them, they are also protecting their own lives
There was a time when we were safe
When did everything go wrong?
Why did we stop caring about each other?
Why can we not help each other anymore?
Our country became a living hell
Where bad things are happening every day
Living where our children’s life is not safe
Police are not helpful these days
No one is even afraid of them anymore
Our country now is a paradise of crimes
Who are we supposed to blame?
Others blame the government
But who is really the government?
Those people in parliament?
They don’t see what is happening in every city and Kasi’s
And they’re careless
Let us make our own environment safe
Let us protect each other
