Under the moonlight,

We met.

With stars and fireworks in the sky,

Nothing was a lie.

I thought we were meant to be,

But we were not.

Theirs blossomed,

But ours became oil and water.

You told me lies,

Which I foolishly took in.

How could you?

All you left in me was nothing but blue.

My world is covered in red and black.

I guess we were never meant to be,

And it’s time to let you go.

But how can I?

When all I remember are your last words,

” You are just not fit enough “

You said.

Why?

I gave you my all,

But it was just one sided.

There was never me and you,

There was only me!

Now time is gone,

And I’m back alone.

You were just a crush,

Like the night you’ll hush,

And away you shall go.

Fading in my mind by day,

But just know,

I was a dime,

And you threw me away like bitter lime.

Goodbye forbidden fruit,

But like I said,

And as in heaven it was laid,

We are oil and water,

We will never mix,

And there’s nothing to fix.

We were never meant to be.
