Caitlin and Angel are at their dads room, they are playing puzzles. Alfred comes in.

Alfred. : girls, I need to talk to you about your mother and I.

Angel. : what is dad ? ( Pays attention to her father)

Alfred. : (sits between them) well this might be hard for you to take but I believe you deserve to know the truth.

Caitlin. : tell us dad.

Alfred. : uhm… You… Your mother asked for a divorce.

Angel. : what ?… Why? (Surprised)

Alfred. : she found out that I have a child with another woman. Well 13 years ago I cheated and didn’t tell your mother because I was afraid that this could ruin my marriage so I kept it as a secret.

Angel. : dad you lied to us for the past 13 years ? ( furious)

Alfred. : yes.

Caitlin. : I want mommy.

Alfred. : I know probably you’re asking yourselves what kind of a father I am. I also dont know, Im actually asking myself the same question. I wish I could turn back the time and be true to your mother.

Angel. : dad just take us to mom.

Alfred. : I understand how you feel right now, I just wan…( Angel cuts him)

Angel :(shouts) dad! We want mom.

Alfred. : okay. Okay… Let me get my keys.( he goes to take the keys and they go out the room)

Joy is in the office busy with her computer, suddenly Grace stands at the door.

Grace. :can I come in ? ( politely)

Joy. : ( looks at her) yep… Come in.

Grace. : ( comes in and stand in front of the table) I came to apologize about what happened last week. I overreacted and went completely out of control. I shouldn’t have talked to that way.

Joy. : its okay, you were telling the truth anyway.

Grace. : no, I know all I said was true but I shouldn’t have reminded you about your past.

Joy. : well not all you said was true.

Grace. : I agree not “all” but I’m sorry.

Joy. : I forgive you ( they both smile ). I have one question though. Are you really divorcing him ?

Grace. : uh uh, we are not talking about this again ( she walks out)

Joy. : Alfred came to see me.

Grace. : ( turns) really ?

Joy. : yes.

Grace. : what did he want ?,Let me guess, he asked you to talk to me.

Joy. : that’s true.

Grace. : alright… I don’t have to listen to this. ( tries to leave)

Joy. : maybe you should.

Grace. : Joy please don’t start it.

Joy. : he loves you, he really regret everything he did. He just need one more chance to prove his Loyalty to you and the girls.

Grace. : he lied to me. ( Shouts)

Joy. : don’t you think he lied for a reason?, he knew that this would happen if he told you.

Whitney and Alfred are at Alfreds room. Alfred is sitting on bed and whitney is standing next in front of him.

Whitney. : Grace now knows I am the mother of your child.

Alfred. : who told her?

Whitney. : I did.

Alfred. : why ?

Whitney. : I’ve never seen you so trembled Alfred. I just feel like I’m… Like I’m the reason for your divorce. I should’ve aborted her and none of this would be happening.

Alfred. : don’t say that, Jennifer is my daughter and if Grace wants to Leave, so be it because I’m not longer going to hiding from my daughter.

Whitney. : ( phone alert takes out the phone on the back pocket) its Grace, she wants to meet with me. She says she want to talk to me.

Alfred. : what does she want to talk about ?

Whitney. : I don’t know, let me go and hear her out. I wish things don’t get worse. I’ll let you know what she said, in the mean time pull yourself together. ( she leaves the room ).

Graces phone rings.

Grace. : hello.

Micheal. : morning beautiful, how are you ?

Grace. : I am too busy to have lunch with you.

Michael. : I can wait for dinner.

Grace. : what do you want Michael ?

Micheal. : i want my Grace back.

Grace. : your Grace has more important things to deal with, she does not have time for lunch.

Michael. : just one last dinner.

Grace. : one last dinner.

Michael. : thank you, last dinner. (Ends the call )

Angel and Jennifer are at the park for picnic. Angel is deep in thought.

Jennifer. : you know Angel, its a good thing to talk if something is bothering you.

Angel. : I know.

Jennifer. : you haven’t been you.

Angel. : (sighs) my parents are getting a divorce.

Jennifer. : that’s not a good thing.

Angel. : I know. I wish they weren’t my parents.

Jennifer. : no, don’t say that.

Angel. : what else can I say ?, my life feels like a long night mare right now. I keep asking myself questions I don’t have answers to.

Jennifer. : ( pet her left hand on Angels shoulder) your life is way better than a night mare. Look at me, I’m a teenager with a stranger father and Im not even sure if he’s real. Maybe I meet him everyday but just don’t know its him.

Angel. : yours is worse.

Jennifer. : be happy you still have both parents, don’t let their problems make you suffer.

Angel. : I just wish they could fix this.

Jennifer. : maybe you should make them fix it.

Angel. : how ?, I’m just a teenager who knows nothing about love.

Jennifer. : yes, but you can also tell them how this divorce thing makes you feel.

Angel. : ( looks at jenn) I don’t know Jenn.

Jennifer. : just think about it.
