“Accepting Love proposal from a poor person is a sin before Spirits and gods of love”, Alinafe strongly reminded Talandira. “Aa Alinafe please accept Benison’s proposal as he is as good as good Samaritan”, Talandira pleaded. “And the love you are rejecting today you will be regretted one day” Talandira added.

Alinafe and Talandira were working as Health workers at Mgabi health center as nurses, Benison was a farmer from Mgabi village.

Benison was cool and genius guy, but the only problem was that he walloped in dire poverty. He passed his form four examination with flying colors and was immerged as abest student in the district of Kanguni. He was selected to Malawi University of Science and Technology but he could not manage to pay school fees due to his parent’s poverty. No one wondered why he was selected to such science noble university. In the work of his economic short falls,he started farming activities after accepting his situation. He was quite a hard worker. His farm field was nearby the road so he could see everyone passing by. Alinafe and Talandira were graduates from Malawi College Of Health sciences. They were all working at Mgabi health center. They used to pass Benison at his farmyard everyday when going to their respective work. Benison,Alinafe and Talandira were all secondary friends before Alinafe and Talandira went to college. After their graduation and employed they could not find time to cheer up and chat with their old friend Benison as they were always busy with their work. This was deemed to be selfish life Benson experienced to his real old friends as he recounts on how they used to sympathise each other in odd times. He confessed the situation and tried to copy up with it as his heart entirely pricked by Alinafe’s beauty. He thought to himself that he will make it into reality for Alinafe.

One day Benison decided to approach Alinafe. She was alone as Talandira did not go to work that day . Benison saw Alinafe passing near his farm Yard. He spoke to his mind that that was better day for his dream to come true. He now gathered his confidence and courage over this task. Ben cleared his throat mmmhh aaa”Alinafe! Alina! Nafe!”, Benison called Alinafe in starmaring note. “My beautiful name” , Alinafe replied in pompous manner “How are you?” Benison greeted the dream Lady. “I’m fine and you Ben?” She sincerely replied. “You were calling me for what?” Alinafe asked Benison in threatening tempo. Ben did not hastate but voicing out what was hobouring his mind all along “Alinafe I love you and I need you, you are beautiful, would you mind to be in love with me” Ben vomitted his long kept thought over this Angel.”Benison be serious, a lady echoed on top of her voice. How a farmer date a graduate?” This phenomenon has ever never happened in this earth. “Nafe come on I won’t leave you” I promise, Benison convinced Alinafe. “Benison I’m going”, I have no time for this nonsense. Alinafe shamelessly told Benison.

After leaching home, Alinafe explained to Talandira what had happened over the day. Talandira convinced Alinafe to accept Benison’s proposal. “Accepting Love proposal from a poor person is a sin before love Spirits and gods” Alinafe warned Talandira. “Alinafe accept Benison’s proposal as he is as good as good Samaritan” Talandira convinced Alinafe. “And love you are rejecting today you will need it one day “, Talandira added. According to Alinafe fallen in love with the one a man who do not work in noble profession was deemed to be a taboo before the gods worshiped by her forefathers in the village. It was going against the village customs and virtue get married to the farmer while you are working in profession potifolios.

Benison kept convincing Alinafe to accept his love proposal whenever she was passing his farmyard. One day Alinafe told Benison no to talk to her forever more. From that day Alinafe kept elusive when Benison is talking to her. .She also stopped replying Benison’s messages and calls. This enventually compeled Benison to give up from the ideal. Barely after two months he approached Bertha a Zambian lady whom he met at certain market in Chipata( one of Zambian prominent cities). This was another Bird in Ben’s nest. A Star from the East. The girl warmly accepted the love offer and a Dawn for Ben just begun.

Benison’s relationship with Bertha continued up to the extent of marriage arrangements. Benison and Bertha were all both Farmers. Alinafe starts to feel jealous upon looking Benison’s couple. After one year Benison and Bertha were blessed with baby boy named Alexander. Alexander name was given in to recounts on what had happened to him so that finally God is ‘ Great’.They also had more goats, sheeps donkeys, chickens and cows. After two years Benison bought two cars from Germany while Alinafe got impregnated by a certain groundnuts vendor who denied the responsibility of her pregnant. Alinafe also lost her job due to some corruption cases she had committed at her work place. Things ruined on her life. These atrocities were like attributes of what she did to Ben.

One day Benison decided to visit his friends Samson and Erisha lives at Mkanda the same district. Upon leaching Mcheman bridge he met a pregnant woman who was walking by foot but looking so tired. The man did not notice of the woman in front. Benison’s wife told Benison to stop the car inorder to pick the pregnant woman . Benison stopped and opened the door of his modern Mitsubishi Benz car . He greeted the woman together with his wife and asked her the where she was going to. “I’m going to Mcheman Health center”, Pregnant woman told Benison. “Let me pick and drop you to the place you are going to”, Benison told the woman . She entered the car. After moving about two minutes while making stories, a Pregnant woman realized that the man who is driving Mitsubishi Benz is Benison from Mgabi village. “Are you Benison from Mgabi village?” Pregnant woman asked Are you really Ben?” “Yes I’m”,Benison replied. “So who is this beautiful Lady?” Pregnant woman continued her persistent rains of questions over the happily married man. She is my wife Bertha from Zambia and this is my son Alexander”, In warmly smiling, Benison answered. “My name is Alinafe, the one who turned down your love proposal some years ago” Alinafe lamently detailed. Upon finishing those few words she fainted.
