As I walked through the streets, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of disillusionment. The potholes and cracks in the road seemed to mirror the broken promises of our leaders. They had vowed to protect and serve, but instead, they had stolen from us and left us in the dark.I remembered the day they introduced the empowerment schemes, promising to uplift and support our communities. But all we got were empty words and empty pockets. The only ones who seemed to benefit were those in power, who grew richer while we struggled to make ends meet.
The sound of gunfire and screams filled the air, a constant reminder of the violence and bloodshed that had become our reality. Children went missing, and the police seemed more interested in taking bribes than solving cases. Our borders were unguarded, and our future looked bleaker by the day. As I passed by a group of graduates holding signs that read “Jobs Wanted,” I felt a pang of sadness. They had studied hard, hoping for a better life, but were met with silence and indifference.
But then, I saw a glimmer of hope. A group of people from different walks of life had gathered, determined to demand change. They held signs that read “Vote for Change” and “Hold Leaders Accountable.” I joined them, and together, we marched towards a brighter future. We would no longer be silenced by empty promises and lies. We would rise against injustice and reclaim our rightful place. For a better tomorrow, we would act today.
