My favourite teacher

Hello everyone, I’m Sepheka Ngaletsane Rebecca and I am studying at Mameriri High School this is my essay about my favorite teacher.

My favorite teacher is Sir Segwapa, my English Teacher in Grade 8. He is always kind to the students. He has a unique style and his friendly approach is very much liked by everyone in the class. Sir’s favourite thing to say is that “living in a clean environment makes us clean'” when we tell him he is handsome. He doesn’t have a favourite among our classmates because he sees us as equal beings. He teaches very well and makes you understand the subject with fun learning.

Sir Segwapa’s courage made me realise that all his hard work makes us work hard.

I learned from Sir Segwapa about essay writing, letter writing, reading in understanding and writing a review. Sir Segwapa’s character is strict but kind and he has high expectations from us because we are in the special section. He is strict in writing the essay and in Mameriri he wants the work to be done properly and evenly. What I liked about sir’s teaching is that it is clear and easy to understand.

Sir Segwapa’s courage makes us to become more confident and know what we want in life. His motivation is rare to find. Sometimes when he teaches, he likes to stop and tell us about life lessons that what I liked the most. When it’s sports days he teaches us how to play.

He is the best teacher I have ever had, a supportive and such a great person, even a friend. I will never forget the Mameriri high school years…He was always there for me when I needed and he always believed in my abilities. He is amazing. He has made me like spelling bee.

A very supportive, genuine and respected teacher. He delivers the lecture in such a brilliant way. He give me such a great confidence no one can shake me. I am proud to be his student. May god always bless him.

I will forever treasure and keep sweet memories of him supporting the confidence of a confused teenager whose only confidence booster at that time was her high academic scores.

He looked beyond the euphoria of my academic excellence and saw my needs. He was extremely patient all the time. Every word he said made me think about things. And we listened to him! He was our class teacher for literature too, and I admired how beautiful he spoke our mother tongue. He seemed to be so wise and a kind of person who represents real values. And he was also a caring person, I could discuss with him even personal issues. He just did not fit into the communistic world we lived then…. Thanks to my teacher , I can see the things differently and understand better and learned faster languages.

He makes us share our views. I’m grateful for our lessons interesting. He has a good man character. He is skilled teacher and dedicates in teaching. All I wish is God to give or add more years to Sir Segwapa so he can continue to teach.

I am grateful and proud of our teachers hardworking. And, everything he go above beyond to do for the students. He is an unsung hero. Thank you Mr Segwapa for being a claiming shore in Mameriri high school.
