Yes! You can celebrate and have fun on valentine’s day even when you are single. I mean why not? So this is my advice.

Yes! I’m single and don’t get me wrong I love valentine’s day and all things love. I’m a hopeless romantic always have been and the way I see it always will be. Sounds cheesy I know and my relationship status doesn’t change my love for all things love or valentine’s day.

My favorite colour is red and it doesn’t stop there. My name is Love. I go all gooey for all things love and romance. I’ve always celebrated valentine’s day whether I’m in a relationship or not because to me valentine’s day is all about a celebration of love. All kinds of love. Love for our significant others, family or relatives, friends and whoever we love and cherish even a neighbor or your pastor and love for ourselves.

On this day I celebrate myself. I remind myself to love me more. To spoil myself more and mostly to be kind to myself. I get to be selfish and do whatever I wanna do. Alone! Yes you heard me, alone. I dress up and look all fancy (for myself) and go out to the mall to buy myself something nice, eat my favorite foods and get me some ice cream to end of my day.

Do all that stuff you’ve always wanted to do go on that trip or that adventure by yourself or get a friend or whoever to tag along with you. Don’t wait on others to spoil you or take you out because honey you might wait a very long time and so just do it yourself. I mean why not? Of course you can. Shower yourself with a ton of love. Don’t wait for the next person to do it for you. The first person we should fall in love with is ourselves. You can’t love someone else when you don’t or can’t love yourself. So this valentine’s day go out there and do you and celebrate yourself. It’s allowed. The beauty of love is not only when others love or show us love but it’s when we fall in love with ourselves. So like me this year dedicate valentine’s day to yourself.
