Kate is in her mansion with her two best friends. She’s lying on her white leather couch, sobbing.

“What is wrong with me?!” She looks at her friends, who are busy comforting her. “Am I that bad that I can’t even find one single guy to keep?”

“No, that’s not true, friend, there’s definitely nothing wrong with you,” Nina replies, rubbing Kate’s back.

“Then why do all the men I date end up breaking my heart?” She looks at her friends, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“Don’t lose heart, you will find the one when the time is right,” Lisa replies, handing her a box of tissues.

“When is that? Because my biological clock is ticking.” She takes a tissue out of the box and blows her nose. “I want to get married and have kids just like you guys.”

“We hear you, don’t worry, dear, all will be well.” Nina hands her a glass of water.

“Maybe it is witchcraft, probably there is someone out there who doesn’t want me to get married and start a family of my own.” She gets up off the couch and starts pacing around.

“No, I don’t believe it’s witchcraft.” Lisa gives her friend a concerned look.

“I mean, think about it, I have everything, fancy cars, a successful restaurant, I’m a chef, but I live inside this big house alone.” Kate sits down, heartbroken.

“You are not alone, you have Lisa and me and we love you so much!”

Her friends give her a bear hug.

“Tony broke off our engagement and eloped overseas with another woman, Peter is married with three kids and he even humiliated me saying I was barren,” she says, her eyes teary.

“We are sorry, darling, Tony and Peter were not good for you,” Nina comforts her.

“But I loved them,” she wipes her tears.

“We know, please don’t cry.” Lisa rubs her back.

“I think I have an idea about how you can find the one.” Nina flashes her friends a smile.

“Really?” Kate replies, astonished.

“Yes, I have heard my colleagues talking about this new app that has just been launched where people meet their soulmates.”

“No thanks, I’m good with internet dating — look where it got me and Peter,” Kate shakes her head.

“Not all men are like Peter, have faith, you won’t know unless you try.”

“Yes, I agree with Nina, try your luck. Plus, you have nothing to lose.”

“Nope, I refuse, I will have my heart broken and lose my peace of mind.” Kate stands up and gives them a deadly stare, “This conversation is over.” She heads to the kitchen and leaves her friends with their mouths wide open.
