Kate and her friends are having lunch at Kate’s house. Kate opens a bottle of red wine and pours it into three glasses.

“What are we celebrating?” Lisa asks, holding the wine glass.

“I would also like to know — today you went all out and prepared this succulent food,” Nina said, also hold her wine glass.

“We are celebrating that the day that I’ve been waiting for has arrived: I am finally going to meet the man of my dreams tomorrow.” Kate smiles and raises her glass, and her friends join her and make a toast.

“Wow, I can’t believe that it has been four weeks that you have been chatting with this guy, you seem to like him so much.” Nina drinks her wine.

“Yes, he makes me so happy, I feel like I have known him for ages, I can’t wait for tomorrow to see him.” Kate blushes.

“We’re happy for you, dear, you too deserve to have that special someone who makes you happy,” Lisa says, with a smile.

“Thank you, my friend, but I’m a little bit scared.” Kate looks down.

“Why?” her friends ask in unison.

“What if the Peter-saga repeats itself? My heart will be shattered.” She grasps for air.

“We will cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now, don’t overthink it, you will stress yourself, have a little faith.” Nina places her hand on Kate’s shoulder.

“Why did you have to take the whole month to meet up?” Lisa asks.

“That’s what I would like to know. If you like each other this much, why didn’t you meet sooner?” Nina asks, staring at Kate.

“If it was up to us, we would have met sooner, but the dating app’s rules forbid it.”

“Why is that?” Lisa asks.

“The rules state that we have to chat for at least a month without meeting and we don’t use our real names or send each other’s pictures.”

“What! So you mean you are going to meet someone and you don’t know what he looks like?” Lisa put her hands on her head.

“Yes, something like that.” Kate looks down shyly.

“What if this person is a thug? Or maybe he’s a psycho, or worse, he could be a serial killer!” Nina shakes her head.

Kate laughs hysterically, “You watch too much TV.”

“This is not funny, Kate, Lisa is stating the possible,” Nina frowns.

“Fine,” Kate raises her hands, “don’t you worry, guys, we are meeting in a public place full of people.”

“That’s a relief, at least we won’t be worried,” Nina smiles.

“Thank you for your concern. What would I be without you?”

The three hold hands.

Kate’s cell phone vibrates inside her pocket. She takes it out and finds that it is a text message from the mystery man.

Unknown: Hi sweetheart I was just thinking of you and thought that I should send you a text to check up on you, I hope you are good. I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

“You must be reading something sweet to smile like that,” Lisa laughs.

“I agree with you Lisa, someone is in love!” Nina bursts out laughing.

“Please stop, you two.” Kate smiles and replies the text message.

Kate: Hi my love, I also can’t wait to see you tomorrow. I am thinking of you too.

“The way you are smiling, have you decided what you will wear tomorrow?” Nina asks in excitement.

“Not yet.” Kate scratches her head.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s go find you an extravaganza of an outfit for tomorrow’s date.” Lisa gets up and the three head to Kate’s bedroom, giggling.

Tell us: Would you go on a blind date like that? Why or why not?
