Brandon stayed at home to do his schoolwork at home instead of school. His mother and father were tired, they had to do work and look after Brandon. Mrs. Smith decided to quit her job so that she can take care of Brandon.

“I’m sorry, mom,” Brandon said.

“Sorry, for what my love?” Mrs. Smith said.

“I’m sorry for being sick and making you and dad tired,” Brandon said.

His mother could not believe her son’s words, she rushed to him and held him in her arms.

“Baby, you can’t be sorry for that, I know you will get better soon. We love you, Brandon.”

“Thanks, mom, I love you too,” he said and fell asleep.

While he was sleeping, Brandon’s mom did some housework. Just then there was a knock on the door.

“Hi, Mrs. Smith.”

It was Brandon’s three closest friends.

“Hi, boys, can I help you?” Mrs. Smith said, surprised but happy to see them.

“We miss Brandon, and just because he can’t play soccer anymore doesn’t mean he can’t be our friend. We wanna say that we’re here to help with anything. Cooking, cleaning, and homework. We’re here.” Michael said.

His mother smiled.

“Cooking? You boys can cook?” she laughed.

“Yes, well no. We can ask our moms to help with that.”

They all laughed.

Brandon was really happy to know that his friends stayed with him, they ended up helping him every day with homework and they would come visit to play Fifa.

“Fifa, at least I’m still playing soccer mom!” Brandon said laughing with his friends.
