New mothers often doubt that they are able to take care of a baby. As a teenager, it can be even more difficult to be fully aware yet of what it means to be a mother.
Motherhood starts during pregnancy. While in the womb, the baby grows, moves, listens and responds to the world around him or her. Your baby’s development in the womb helps him or her develop after birth.
Raising a child is demanding, and as a teenager, this may be difficult to accept. However, all the efforts you put in during and after pregnancy will help your baby grow healthier.
When a mother is patient, loving, is there for her baby, and enjoys communicating with her baby, the child can flourish. When this happens, your experience of motherhood can be full of pleasure.
Being a good mother doesn’t mean that you have to be perfect.
