People are easily tempted when they pray for something. They will go to sangomas because they get what they want in their time. God wants you to be patient and trust in him. He taught his disciples about lust, he even told them that, God has his own time which is different from our time.

God gives the best at the right time. Jesus had love for his people. He wept when Lazarus died. He would even weep if one sheep fell in a pit. Humans have no pity on each other. He told us the greatest commandment: Love your fellow neighbours, love your enemies and pray for them. Jesus wanted us to follow his example of loving one another.

He made the disciples to prepare for his second coming. Jesus, spoke on who to go to, when we have burdens that we feel we cannot carry. Matthew 11 verse 28. Jesus gave an example when he washed his disciple’s feet. Jesus knew his future; Jesus knew who was going to betray him when the time came. Jesus knew how they were going to torture him. Jesus knew when he would rise again and he also knew about his resurrection.

He could prophesy his life. Nowadays we can do as Jesus prophesises. It’s because sin reigns in us and in our daily lives. We cannot hear what God says when he speaks. We are all called but the problem now is that sin is ruling most of our lives. We need to stand tall and fight using the word of God. Jesus taught his disciples to be watchman, but they slept, and that is how the devil came and made Peter deny Jesus three times.

Jesus prayed and cried until blood poured out. We need to be watchman, pray and then we sleep. We can sleep every day but sometimes, it’s time to rise up and kneel to God the Almighty and the creator. Jesus warned his disciples about rejection and persecution. He asked them to pray for strength and God’s defence.

During the seizing of Jesus, when Judas kissed him, the disciples fought him but Jesus told them that the scriptures must come true and if it was not like this, then God will send armies to fight for him. When he was with the high priests, he never fought back because the scriptures had to come true. If he fought back, then the scriptures would not come true. He had to die for our sins.

Jesus gave the word of life but they said he was blasphemous. When you become a man of God, no one can accept you, not even your family will do so. God, actually blinded everyone’s eyes so that they would kill Jesus. Jesus listened to God’s orders. How far are we into listening to God’s order?

The soldiers mocked Jesus, they stripped his clothes, and they put a crown of thorns on his head. He was mocked and made fun of, if it was you, you would have fought back. Jesus obeyed what God instructed. Jesus obliged to do as God wished, no matter the pain. On the cross, another man asked him to save himself and another one, on the other cross asked him to remember him in paradise.

When he cried out his spirit, there was an earthquake, the temple of Viel was torn apart, the earth shook, the rocks split, the graves broke open and the dead people who were of God-resurrected. Jesus resurrected after 3 days, and those who rose up with him went to the Holy City and humans saw them.

The people who were seeing this began to believe. God wants us to have faith without seeing, but humans want to see a miracle first before they can believe. Even the scriptures say it’s a sin to test God. Our faith pleases God. Jesus had faith even when he was in a very awful state, he kept his hope in God. Compared to us; we would have fear and seek for other means of changing the situation.

When He rose up, his appearance was bright as lighting and his clothes were like snow. When they saw him they trembled. We should tremble and become like dead man when we seek God’s glory. Jesus had a kind heart and love for every one of us. Humans became choosers, now that hatred leads to lust and hunger for power leads people to destruction.

Jesus gave teachings and also spoke about repentance before his death but people were stubborn. His teachings fell on deaf ears but his disciples listened. Even John declared Jesus was the lamp of God without sin. He also said he would take away sin. Jesus was said to be closer to God than anyone else, and that’s why he advised all of us that we need to be closer to God.
