“That guy is a grab, darling,” Charlotte said as she strolled around her room to stand by the window. She sipped the hot coffee while admiring the view.

“Yeah, he is mine!” Amanda declared.

The wedding event was a success and Trey was happy for her. He kept on encouraging her even when they had setbacks, like when she forgot to buy the gas they needed.

“Business is not easy, you just have to be wise.”

He pushed her to do better. She got other catering jobs for big events and made more profit. She paid him back half of the money, but he sent it back.

“It was a gift, don’t worry.” That’s all he would say but it didn’t sit well with her.

She felt he was right for her. Trey knew how to make her happy. The best thing he did was to help her business grow.

“I love him.” She smiled and Charlotte could see her glowing cheeks.

“I am happy for you. One day we’ll double date and have a double wedding,” Charlotte said, laughing.

Amanda joined in by giggling. She was checking her phone every moment. She had been chatting with Trey. Seeing a message brought sparks to her eyes. Like a diamond would start shining. The weather was chilly so the two friends were indoors, gossiping about their lovers and life. Amanda was worried as Trey was offline for a long time. She kept checking her phone.

“I thought Will was proposing, I nearly jumped out of my skin; he was only picking up his cufflinks though!” Charlotte chuckled.

Amanda didn’t hear what she said and Charlotte pinched her thigh. She screamed thinking an insect had bitten her.

“Where are you?” Charlotte asked, looking at her.

I’m thinking about Trey, he hasn’t texted,” said Amanda.

“Gal, you need to keep busy. If you keep like that you’ll always worry.”

Charlotte sat close to her friend.

“Sorry,” Amanda said shyly.

Her life was now revolving around him. His absence was like a shortage of oxygen.

“Now you need him every day…He is your oxygen,” Charlotte said in a sing-song voice, as if she had read Amanda’s thoughts.

Amanda laughed and then her phone beeped. Charlotte checked the screen and she saw a message from Trey.

“See, I told you, you worried for nothing.”

Charlotte went to pour herself juice.

Baby I was fixing a tyre.

She felt relieved and happier. It sounded crazy, she last talked to him in the morning but she couldn’t get enough of him.

Charlotte was humming and tapping her fingers on the wall making her laugh.

“You are crazy,” Amanda laughed.

“Someone is crazy in love.”
