The year of 2008 went by so fast and before Kevin knew it, it was time to get his results. Many students were preparing to travel to their homes. Kevin was still in Johannesburg meeting with several potential associates. He met with Carl Links, the arms dealer and Lucille the girl who was able to entice any man.

Kevin’s plan was finally coming together. He had John to back him, the Nazi’s, weapons from Carl, Lucille for seducing potential targets and Tyson to hack into security for him. The funny part was that none of them knew that they were all part of a deadly revenge scheme.

In December of that year, Kevin left for home. He longed to see his family and most of all his mother. He arrived at his home, welcomed with plenty of hugs and kisses from his mother and siblings. They all wanted to know about the varsity life, the truth behind the horror stories told about Johannesburg. Kevin just laughed and said “Johannesburg was great”. The story telling continued during supper and Kevin had the opportunity to learn how everyone else was doing.

The Nazis were happy that their member was back, but Steven their leader was not thrilled to see Kevin. He accused Kevin of undermining the gang by not fulfilling his duties and always being away. That was not the only contributing factor in Steve’s anger. The Nazi and the Cash time broke their alliance and there was a lot of bad blood between them. To create an environment with peace once again, Kevin was tasked with assassinating the leader of the Cash time. The problem was that leader was his childhood buddy, John. This was a test of loyalty to the Nazis suggested by Steve.

Kevin thought about whether it was really worth the friendship, if he actually killed John. He then tried to negotiate leaving the gang peacefully, but Steve reminded him the codes of the Nazi which stated “Blood in, Blood out”, which meant he had to kill in order to get out or pay the blood price himself.

Kevin contemplated killing Steve, since he was the only one adamant that he should kill John. Antony, a member of the Nazi’s, didn’t like Steve. He treated Antony like garbage so Kevin had to use that to his advantage. He told Antony to kill Steve. Steve’s death would mean promotion in ranks for both of them.

Antony shot Steve as instructed during a meeting of the Nazi’s. The members were confused and rattled. This action gave Kevin the opportunity to rise in ranks and become the leader and Antony became the sergeant. It was clear that the Nazi’s were not satisfied with Steve’s leadership. They felt more free under Kevin’s rule. Their duties were bearable, but the leadership was still strict to maintain the notoriety of the Nazi.

The story broke that Kevin was ordered to kill John, but killed Steve instead. John approached Kevin and thanked him for not carrying out that order. The two leaders patched their alliance and things were back to normal.

Kevin and John later met to catch-up. Kevin then told John his plan and intentions. John wasn’t surprised to hear his buddy’s intentions. John noticed how Kevin was distant, not really saying anything. He was the friend who Kevin would confide in about everything. John gave Kevin his assurance that he had his back and that the Cash Time gang was behind him all the way. John was determined to help his buddy because he proved that loyalty is key. Kevin killed Steve rather than his best buddy. John was now indebted to Kevin and was just returning a favour to a dear friend.
