First came the thrill and excitement of trying something new and different,
Until you realise, you just don’t speak the language
So you resort to body language and hand gestures
Because of your desperation to communicate and feel as if you belong

Yet the locals seem rude and make you feel totally lost…
Lost alone in the woods, one dares to say

Now comes the thought of cutting the vacation short
And going back to normalcy, as you simply miss your bed
After countless nights of looking at the hotel ceiling
And simply wondering how you could have been so happy when you knew you were coming,
