When I slept
I saw God in flesh

In my dreams
God looked like me,
My father, his father
And my dead sons

When I slept
I saw God in flesh
In my dreams
The eyes kept staring
When I slept hurting
I saw God in flesh
And He looked like me
My lover, my sister
And my dead mother
I demand the seeds of life
From the dust of time
When I slept
I saw God in flesh

My bloody bones
Beneath the earth
The grounds of eternal sleep
Cracking open
To swallow
The fleshy skeleton

When I slept
I saw God in flesh
In a very quiet voice
He spoke to me
In seven different tongues
He painted a picture in my eyes
The vision of a wordsmith
Describing the queen of seduction
And the princess of time

Quietly His loud voice spoke to me
“Forgiveness is a process”
Was His message,
In the form of lightning
Thunder was storming when he yawned
Imagine the scorching sun when He was furious
I slept
I dreamt
And I saw God in flesh.
