How does one live in a battlefield?
How then are the dreams supposed to be fulfilled?
Children accustomed to gunshots,
And everywhere seemingly death’s host.

Patriarchs are left feeling helpless,
For their legacy is left limbless,
This would leave anyone speechless,
Living in a place where death is endless.

Children can no longer be children,
Afraid of triggering a permanent incident,
Or even death by accident,
Life here is in no doubt prominent.

They now reminisce about simple things,
Like holding a bowl with both your hands,
Or kicking a ball with both your legs,
You can just imagine the amount of stress.

They now have one thing to use as their means of leverage,
To ensure that their lives are not lived in poverty,
Yes! Education will give them some liberty,
Or else live in total anonymity.
