I took and planted you,
When I don’t know who planted you,
For I saw the need to have you around,
I’m not aware how you do,
But when you are present you fill my soul
With freshness I can’t explain.

The day the sun so hot that I can’t breathe,
By you I have hope I won’t suffocate,
You provide oxygen, no man can give,
I now have shelter, the sunset and moon
I keep next to me.

Knowing when your leaves are there,
There is no way that the heart of the sun will fry my head,
How dry this place of mine would have been without you.

I may feel heat from the sun,
Even in cold you are there to keep me warm,
How this life would be without you,
But for sure it can’t,

The tree, my tree.
