Stars, the beams of light & guards of the night
There’s quite a lot of them tonight,
With the blue skies making everything seem like
It’s going to be alright
Bright and quite a sight too

Nature we call it
But bit by bit we see the faults in them
Admitting is our worst fear, only making us
Wish we could disappear
Shooting stars computing our mindless minds
Into thinking our wishes can come true
Not knowing without pursuing them,
They just form a useless queue

Taking them into our hands is our greatest desire
Making us feel like we can go higher when we’re just criers for help
Are they looking down on us?
Are they laughing at our ignorance?
All these questions, we just need assurance,
That the stars are coming back for us
