You are there
And I am here
Languishing am I now in that void,
But I dare not fear
Voices of reason and wisdom lead to me to avoid
The burning desire for your presence;
For your spirit to lie here,
Gently and quietly;
For your beauty to, then, speak to my heart-audibly
I wish we had shared touches in thousands,
But memory dictates that you left quickly,
Without salutations being sounded
In honour of your absent beauty,
A memorial has been founded
The statue stands,
My Saphokazi,
Where you once stood-
Beside me
Come home, I say,
And re-ignite the fire inside me
