Somehow we miss them
Anyway they are our reason to life
And have always cared for us.

Shouldn’t we be more grateful?
They advised us on things to do and what to avoid
They warn us about life and its difficulties
And everything we need to know

They know
They want what’s best for us
And have even told lies for our protection
Shouldn’t we show more respect and love?

I believe we do

Our mission as youngsters is to take care of our elders
To be trustworthy and reliable to them
We should honour these unique and wonderful beings
The problem with us is that we think they’ll always be around when we need and want them
They expect no impressions from us yet we take them for granted
They have suffered unbearable pain because of us
We have brought diseases and shame yet they love and accept us
They are our everything…
