You’re kind, you’re gentle
You have that gift to open the minds of the young ones,
You’re the light that leads us to bright futures.
You hold us by the hand from darkness to lightness.

Not everybody has thanked you enough!
At school you are my comforter, my strength,
My shoulder to cry on.

My mind was filled with mist, but now I rise as air
And do not let anyone defeat me.
Just because of you, I became intelligent, strong and powerful.
Just because of you, I became a small brave girl,
Who can now stand in front of all people and
Say something useful with her small mouth.

What kind of a person are you?
You continue to assist us even if you get bad actions from people,
Forgetting what wonderful great job you do, your strong character
Gives me strength in times of difficulties.

You are strong, you are kind, you are funny, you are unique,
Without you who can produce: nurses and doctors, lawyers,
Ministers, presidents and even teachers,

You are strong, you are powerful, you are capable,
In fact you are our role models,
As children we must have: that same power, that same strength
And that same world-changing capability,
Walk like the kings because you deserve to be the kings!!!

You are a star, you are a moon, you a sun
That brightened and opened our minds,
My wish for you is that you continue to be who and how you are,
Remember what Ms Maya Angelou said,
“Without courage we cannot practise any other virtue with consistency.”
