Stephen Bantu Biko said these words.
I was young and clueless when these words
First pierced my ear drums.
Still, have witnessed pain, my heart carried no sorrow.
Just uncomplicated scenarios that make life seem easy.
But life is a jungle and only predators survive, prey stays on the run.
I turn to sprint mode while trying to outrun these predators
And escape this orphanage called the township respectively.
Mission impossible.
Biko and his comrades fought for freedom,
But this democracy gave birth to vanity slaves, including me.
As we breathe freedom, black remonstrant beings
Become extinct while we continue feeding each other opprobrium.
