Nombulelo Mary Ann Nonjola was a very good, kind, brave and independent person. She loved working with children and she was the most supportive and helpful person in the community of Phillipi. Nombulelo built a place for homeless children. She built the place after she found 3 children in the same year.
On the 13th of April 2011 she found a girl that lost, both her parents were in a car accident and Nombulelo took her and lived with her at her place. On the 19th of July 2011, on the streets of Phillipi, she found an infant inside a box, thrown away in a heap of rubbish. On the 25th of November 2011 Marry Ann found a 12-year-old boy who was raped by his uncle and thrown out by his parents because they didn’t believe him. Nombulelo was always there for those who needed parents, love and encouragement.
Mary Ann Nombulelo supported these children, she even sent them to school so that they can have bright future. Nombulelo was always giving these children parental love and she taught them respect, even how to look after themselves. Nombulelo was the most popular hero known in Phillipi, she even has a soup kitchen that helps people who don’t have food. She showed the community how precious and kind she is.
Nombulelo employed women who didn’t have jobs and gave them work. Nombulelo was a well-known and respected person in the community and she is a hero in the Phillipi community.
