It is said that proper planning prevents poor performance, this is absolutely true, not only in the cooperate world, but in governments across the globe.

In South Africa’s case, the nation has the potential to be one of the elite countries in the world but because of poor governance, greed and hostilities among our elected leaders, we will not realise the fruits of this potential.

For the past few years #feesmustfall has become the struggle of today’s youth. I have driven past Boksburg Correctional Prison all my life, not until today did it dawn on me that there is such a thing as free education, all you need do is get convicted for a crime. Instead of investing our tax money for hard working honest citizens into educating and grooming our youth, to be educated leaders, our government is investing money in feeding, clothing and giving free education to convicted criminals.

Reformed or not the money and effort spent on a convicts’ education is no different than playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun. Companies do not employ anyone with a criminal record, this just means that instead of unskilled criminals, we now have skilled educated criminals. While the deserving citizens are been gassed and some shot, for demanding that the government delivers on the promise of free education which Nelson Mandela himself failed to deliver.

I guess since our leadership is made up of convicts, I assume they believe that to be in leadership you must graduate in breaking the law.
