Asithandile Tyulu is a dynamic and passionate writer and former community coordinator at the Fundza Literacy Trust, a South African non-profit organization that promotes literacy and a love of reading among young people.
Asithandile is an avid reader and writer, with a particular interest in non-fiction that explores social and political issues. He has also published a short fiction story that won him recognition among readers and fellow writers. He believes that storytelling is a vital tool for empowering and inspiring young people, and he is dedicated to helping them develop their reading and writing skills.
Aside from his work in literacy, Asithandile is also passionate about music and basketball. He enjoys listening to a wide range of genres.
Before joining Fundza Literacy Trust, Asithandile worked as a tutor at YearBeyond, a program that provides academic support and mentoring to young learners from disadvantaged communities. There, he honed his teaching skills and developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing young people in South Africa. Asithandile’s passion for literacy and education, combined with his commitment to social justice, made him an invaluable asset to the Fundza Literacy Trust and to the broader community.
