” Let him go,” he instructed harshly.

Officer Nathan was petrified and dropped his jaw . He still believed Adam was the culprit but he knew he wasn’t working alone,he didn’t have any evidence to pin on him..

” But sir….. His fingerprints were found on the scene,” he objected.

” His fingerprints are found only on the door and did you see any again?” his eyes looked serious and wide.

” No,maybe he wore gloves,” he objected again.

” We only saw the room with some fingerprints but none of Adam,” Captain Wayne sighed 

” Officer​ Nathan…Do as I say ? The investigation is still going on,” he added and lifted his eyebrows, threatening .

Adam was released after filling a form and he was warned to not travel until they had found the truth behind the crime. Adam cursed​ the police as he strolled down the road. He frowned and wanted to throw stones at the windows of the police station but he controlled his anger.

” The real culprit is roaming free,” he hissed and kicked the stones with his leg to the tar which was quiet .

” I am a good man and I was just helping that woman.. the worst part is the woman didn’t tell them I helped her… I never …,” his eyes got struck on a woman who wore a scarf around her neck with a black pants and white blouse..

The sky was dusk with it’s orange and grey horizon .Adam believed he had seen her somewhere except her outfit. She had make up and had different hair. He saw the woman enter a Markham shop and he recalled it was the woman he tried to help and he tailed her. He couldn’t mind his business and the woman had made him sleep in jail for a day.

The shop had a backdoor that led to alley . The woman was sneaky and her eyes darted left and right after a few feet. He wondered what she was up and hid near the bins. The man in the hood appeared from the bins ahead. A black Mercedes Benz was on the side . The man stood behind the bin and pulled​ the woman closer.

” You didn’t say a word did you,?” he whispered.

Adam could hear the conservation but wondered why the woman was doing this if she was a victim.

” No,I acted dumb,” she replied while rolling her eyes.

” You know the consequences when you talk right? Come on ,now you will go and do your job . You will go with Lira and Kathy so they learn for you,” he instructed with a threatening eye..

” Change into this outfit,” he handed her a khaki bag to the woman

” Ok,” she replied with a sad voice.

The woman went behind the trash bin and dressed up quickly. In a minute she appeared , fixing her dress to make it short and her cleavage to reveal to the eyes that see. Adam send a message to the captain with a location.

The kidnapper meets the woman again.

The man entered​ the car and it alighted but stopped by sirens. Suddenly the woman and driver ran , followed by the hood man and some girls who were young their age.

” Run or I will kill you,” the hood man hissed and noticed Adam .He gestured to the woman to stop,he had a plan and Adam tried to follow the girls but he was hold grip by the woman. The hood man walked playful with a smirk on his face.

” You aren’t clever you never catch us,” he laughed and disappeared in the thick air.

The police appeared with weapon in their hands ready to attack. The woman started to cry as if something was done to her. Adam literally ignored the woman but the police rushed to her aid. The captain arrived​ at the scene and looked at Adam and back to the woman.

” What happened to you?” he asked calmly.

” The girls and the kidnapper went that way,” Adam shouted, pointing his finger to the alley . His breath caught in his throat because of annoyance of not being believed.

” What did you do to the woman?” he asked harshly, grinding his teeth.

Adam was shocked at looked at the woman ,hoping she would defend for him but the woman pointed at Adam and show a wound on her wrist. He felt his head spinning that he wanted to smack the truth from the woman.The captain signalled to the police to arrest Adam.

” Not again! …. I didn’t do anything please,” he tried to break free from the grip of the strongest hand of the short police officer.

” I was the one who called you and I saw her….. And the real kidnapper ….. Is it okay that I was arrested for nothing ? Now you have evidence because of me?” he shook his body ,angrily.

” Let’s go to the station,” he ordered the police and noticed​ the woman wanted to walk but she pretended to fell and a police officer hold her hand.

The police escorted​ Adam with a sour face to the van leaving two officers with Captain Wayne. The woman looked away with , avoiding eye contact with Adam but watched sly while Adam was taken away.

” You are going to the station for your statement,” he said calmly and turned around.

” Where is Office Nathan?” he grasped and turned around.

” I am here,” he saluted and walked towards him.

” Search for evidence around here. I still feel that man … Adam​ is not a kidnapper,”he sighed and wandered around hoping to see a sign.

” Why was he here again?” Officer Martin asked curiously.

” He is the one who called us here…. That woman is something else . I wonder what she is hiding and why,” he shook his head and helped search for evidence by looking thoroughly around the ground and walls.
