My tummy grew bigger as time goes on . People were shocked to see me pregnant and started asking many questions. Some of them was to make me fall but I didn’t allow them to destroy me as I was preparing to write trial.

One day I woke up at night [about 2 am] and felt like something wanted to come out of me. I went to my sister’s room , barged in and woke her up. I explained how I feel and she asked me to take a quick bath.

She woke up everybody and they were all prepared. After that they took me to hospital. A doctor came to me , did some check ups and sent me to Labour Ward.I was shocked to see how full it was. There was noise . My parents gave me some space to talk with my sister. I asked her to call Amogelang and inform him that I was admitted. She did so and after some hours , I gave birth.

Wow! A baby girl. She was so cute and I wasn’t able to take off my eyes off her. The first person to know was Amogelang . He was so excited. I then called my family and informed them. My parents were happy to be someone’s grandparents not to mention my sister who was even crying . That were tears of joy. She was happy to be “mmamogolo”[big aunt].

I was discharged around 13:00 and my family came to fetch me. I was exhausted but that vanished after seeing Amogelang. He was with his mother and little sister. They named our daughter “Kamogetswe”. I was happy to see him and that’s where the problem began.

We hugged and kissed in front of our parents. We were not supposed to do so because it’s disrespectful. My father looked me in the eyes but because I was excited, I didn’t mind him. We then went home.

After arriving at home , I took a bath , ate and went to bed. I was thinking what will dad say about I and Amo kissing in front of him. As I was not really sleeping , I was able to hear whatever they’re discussing in the dining room.

My father was concerned about us kissing in public and he shared it with mom . He said”Mogatsaka , how do you take this thing of kids kissing in front of us ? “Mom didn’t want to argue with him . She just said “Daddy you really have to understand. I know they were not supposed to do that but please try to understand. They’re kids , they miss each other just like we used to. And it’s not like kissing in public is something wrong. I don’t encourage it but lwena wa tseba gore you nearly did something horrible in front of our kids. Papa no one is perfect but I”ll let them know that what they did is unacceptable” .

My father started hating Amogelang.
