We were now lovebirds and everyone knew us that we were power couple, so we did our matric and passed well.During our holidays we always spent time together but this time was different I had to travel to Bloemfontein to pursue my studies further.

The day before going I called him to help me pack and he came .we were folding clothes when he asked if ever I’ll return and I keep assuring him that I will surely come back . he looked into my eyes and said ” please promise me that you will never forget me”

I looked him and said ” pinky promise” and broke into a big smile.

He took my hands gently and kissed them then turned to a portable battery speaker system and connected his phone via bluetooth . Before I can ask what’s up farewell by Rihanna was playing .I was taken aback and I couldn’t help but cry silently as I listened to the lyrics….

He was also crying , so he leaned forward to give me a warm hug and I held on him like my life depend on him. I didn’t want to leave but I knew this was for the best.

He soon drove back to his home and promised to take me to airport tomorrow .

My flight was at 09:30 so I kept looking at my phone waiting patiently for him , luckily he was there exactly an hour before ,we walked down the stairs and I said my goodbyes to my grandmother and sister.

We walked to the car and he opened a passenger door for me and yes that’s my boyfriend for you he is such a gentleman. We drove down the street without talking all I could see in his eyes was pain ,a pain of being away from his love . I understood his worries but trust was all we need in this . Before we can even notice I was at the airport , he opened his door and came to open mine then took my luggage out of the car.

He took off his bracelet and gave it to me as a token of our love, he put it on my wrist “Whenever you miss me look at this bracelet and close your eyes ,I assure you will feel my presence ” he said with teary eyes

I nodded and we hugged then I left.
