Melusi

I could not bring myself to face her, after what I did to her.

At this moment I hated myself for hurting her this much, seeing her was another great challenge that I had to pass.

The phone rang distracting from my thoughts. Without saying any word, I waited for whoever called to speak.

“I have it, I have all your money.”

“Really.”

“Yes, now bring my daughter.”

“No you come fetch her here after all you are the one who owe me Steve.”

“I’ll be there in 20.” And the line went dead. I stood up not believing my ears, she was going today, when I have not sorted through my own feelings as yet and she was just gonna go.

I still had so much to say to her, I had even gotten used to having her around now having to just forget about her seemed so unreal.

I took out a beer from the mini fridge and gulped it down as I looked out the window and there at the bottom I saw her with her feet inside the water.

I wondered if I’ll be able to let her go that easy. I am not used to having someone around in my own personal space but there was just something about her.
