Austria’s POV :

Two days….It’s been two horrible days since I’ve last had contact with Xavier. Since he went missing, I’ve upgraded our guards weapons.

I have also increased the amount of guards that we have. The more guards means more protection.

I’ve been searching the entire hour for someone to help me. Everyone is so occupied, and I’m too afraid to leave my kids alone. Finally I see one of my soldiers.

“Hey Evan!”

I call out to one of my guards. He is one of our most trusted guards. He has really been helpful to us when it comes to searching for Xavier.

We can always rely on him if we need something done. He jogs over to me as soon as he hears his name.

“Good morning your highness. What can I do for you?” He says as he bows.

“I really need some help. I need you to run some errands for me if you don’t mind.”

“Sure….What do you need?”

“I need you to go to the shops and get me some milk formulas, as well as some baby food.”

“Okay sure, I’ll get them quickly.”

“Are you sure? It looked like you were going somewhere?”

“No…It’s Okay. I wasn’t really busy anyways.”

I let out a sigh of relief. At last I found someone who could help me out. I’m afraid to leave my kids just on case something happens while I’m gone.

“Oh my god! Thank you so much. You know I cannot leave the kids alone, anything could happen. EVER since Xavier went missing, I have to keep my eyes on them 24/7.”

He laughs, but something about his laugh made me feel weird. Not a good type of weird, but more of an uncomfortable weird. I got chills down my spine, why do I feel like this?

“Sure your highness, I understand. I’ll go get those items for you ASAP.”

“Thank you.”

I say as he runs off. Roman walks out from the shadows as soon as Evan turns the corner and leaves the room. He nearly gives me a heart attack.

“Hey! Why are you creeping around in the shadows like that? You nearly have me a damn heart attack!!”

I say clutching my chest. Roman laughs it off, but then soon becomes serious.

“What’s wrong? Is everything okay Roman?”

He sighs heavily, then runs his hand down his face. Something’s wrong, and I can see it.

“It’s that Evan guy, he seems really weird. He’s been watching my every move, does he have a problem with me or something??”

“I don’t know Roman. I wish I knew the answers.”

“Don’t you find him a little strange?”

I think for a moment, that laugh earlier did make me feel uncomfortable.

“Yeah, kind of.”

“Why does he show up as soon as the king goes missing? He claims to be a new guard…..but then again, I haven’t seen seen his profile. I have to check with Grace to make sure that he has a file. If he doesn’t then we might have a problem.”

Later in the day, I took a walk in the garden. Before I turned the corner, I heard someone talking. It sounded like he was on the phone, I took a peek and saw that it was Evan.

“Yes Abigail I know—- “

“You really think that I don’t know what I’m doing?”

“Just don’t worry okay? I’m almost there.”

“Okay then….I’ll see you later.”

Wait what? He’s working with Abigail? I really thought that he was a loyal and faithful soldier. I stepped out from around the corner and his eyes went wide with shock.

“Your highness! Do you need me?” He says as he bows.

“Don’t call me your highness. Who are you really Evan?”

“What are you talking about?”

“You were on the phone with Abigail…..Tell me where is my husband.”
