Xavier’s POV:

All of a sudden, I couldn’t feel the connection that I had felt with Austria. I was worried about my kids, my family and my people.

What If Abigail got to them, while I’m stuck in here? I need to find a way out of this hellhole before it’s too late.

Moving around is useless, nothing that I’m doing is working out for me. The more I pulled the rope to try and break free, the tighter it got. I felt powerless, I couldn’t protect my family.

They are depending on me, their King, father, husband and leader. I’m constantly worrying about whether they are okay or not, I just can’t help myself.

The door opens and in walks the woman I never ever wanted to see again. I hear her high heels clicking against the floor as she slowly makes her way towards me.

“Well,well,well….We finally meet again Xavier. I never thought that we’d ever see each other again. I really missed you, you know?”

I don’t respond to her, I continue ignoring her.

“Don’t ignore me Xavier.”

I still ignore her and she let’s out a puff of frustration. One thing about Abigail, is that she hates being ignored.

She stands in front of me, it is only then that I noticed that she had something in her hand.

“What the hell is that?” I asked her.

She laughs, before answering my question.

“Oh this?…it’s just a little something for your wife and kids at home.” She says with a proud smile on her face.

“IF YOU HURT MY WIFE OR MY FAM—“

“Shhh…. quiet now. You don’t want the neighbors to hear you, do you now?”

Neighbors? I have to be lucky today. If only I could get close to a boarded up window or something to alert them. They could be great help for me.

“Don’t worry though…My plan is already in action. EVAN?!”

A guy comes walking in the room, and when I see the similar facial features, I instantly knew who he was. He is wearing one of our kingdoms guards armor.

“How….how did they not notice you? How the hell did you get your filthy paws on that?”

They both laugh at me as if I had gone crazy.

“Oh that’s simple. No one knows that my brother is still alive. Everyone thought that he died when he was a baby.”

Abigail tells me with a smirk on her face.
