Like an empty vessel,

Less was your affection for me in thy heart,

Thou were hasty to savage,

Hence dying completely in me.

Vain, were my tears for you!

You stand there by all might,

Boasting about your fright,

Fright that’ll halt in no tranquility,

Yes, the fright of walking a mile together.

Now I say, my tears for you were in vain!

You strode off,

Pride carried you forth,

Shaken to and fro in wails,

Wails, they that be in utmost pretense.

Vain, were my tears for you!

Though you were the only chaff

Left and forsaken in the fields,

You never worn out your pride…

You were shaken by winds from all horizons,

From dawn to dusk,

And, up from the intestines of hell, I brought you.

In my hands was a comfy territorry,

In my heart, you were a sapphire,

But on your lust,

You invaded it, tarnished it’s glory and splendour!

I’m ashamed that I cried for you!

You left to dwell in the hailstones

And made your home out of brimstones,

Where the breath of the oceans is a gale,

Yes, where the nature becomes no gay,

But dull; you built your throne in these places

And set my heart on fire!

Hey, your eyes were open just then,

You wanted yourself out in that state,

But oops, your pride blindfolded you again.

Now, condemned to utmost darkness,

But very unaware of that –

You strode off like you were never sightless!

Flashbacks of you and I,

At the beginning of our dust-built love,

Where thus, you talked like nothing’s ending,

Henceforth, your smile was a start of a good day:

Are now nothing but meaningless memories to me!

Go on darling, maybe someday you’ll turn back.

You were the sun that shone on my dreams,

The chariot that carried me forth

To where trees sway in no terror,

In a land where larks gave us a perfect:

Melody of the day…

Somehow, my tears will form a brook,

Like a giant tide of the oceans,

It will splash shaking your land,

Thus in, you’ll drown,

Yes, you’ll drown and be carried back to my hands…!
