This universal love that I choose to offer in abundance
Perhaps this is the true meaning of love since its incipience
To love every living soul in equal portion
Let this heart be free and take no caution
Some would say this approach is to my detriment
But I would rather be hated for loving than for being malevolent
To be condesending towards a loving soul
Is a fools reaction to life as a whole
As I set off on my journey to tread this path somewhat biblical
Its to be remembered that I need not love to be reciprocal
May I find my happiness in the smiles of all whom I meet
Raising my palms in greeting and taking blessings at thier feet

Selfless love is the only thing that makes sense - to love and expect nothing in return. Loving means being thoughtful, mindful and considerate without an audience. It means that we are able to put ourselves in another person's shoes, empathize with them simply because we are human-beings with a huge capacity for caring, and seeing another person in despair/frustration evokes so much care in us. We do not love because; we love even if. Love will either be a blessing or a lesson, but either way, it still teaches.
