My scars; my pride.
I wear them right,
my scars are wright by me;
they always shine before me.
My scars tells a story;
I don’t see myself being sorry.
I no longer hide them;
I no longer wear them with shame.
Although they grab attention,
my scars are my pride,
my scars are me, I am my scars.
My scars are deep within my soul;
they are deep within my flesh,
As I wear them I made a pledge.
My scars creates life;
my scars lead me to strive,
my scars are my pride,
my scars are me, I am my scars.
My scars are internal,
they made me immortal.
My scars are unique regardless of my physique,
I am stronger and bolder than ever,
my scars are my pride;
my scars are me, I am my scars.
My scars and I are bonded ’till infinity,
some made me call out for trinity,
my scars are part of identity.
Some I got them through mendacity,
which made my heart so hefty….
