As Nelson Mandela once said “Courage is not the absence of fear, it’s inspiring others to move beyond it.”
He had my deepest sympathy as he was one of the bravest men
in the world.
He went beyond his concerns and emphasize with others,
Stayed humble no matter what, due to his broader view,
Put himself in others’ position as he found pleasure
in helping others to see happiness and laughter.

His wisdom and attitude contributed a lot,
toward changing the situations that were faced back then.
He stood by one of Albert Einstein’s words that say:
“Freedom, in any case, is only possible by constantly struggling for it.”
His ambition and dogged determination ensured,
that he rose to the top.

He stimulated others to engage in the fighting
for non-racial and democratic South Africa.
He lived through decades of police harassment, detentions,
banning orders and the imprisonment of the apple of his eye.
His leadership skills were combined with a quiet dignity,
formidable resilience , consistent and a gentle stubbornness.

We will always cherish the ideal of a democratic,
free society that we live together in harmony and
with equal opportunities which you and others fought for.
As the famous saying goes, “You may be gone from our sight, but never your
memories, gone from our touch but never from our hearts”
