I wasn’t there but, I know what they did to our forefathers.
I wasn’t there but, I know that our grandmother’s were not allowed to queue with them.
I wasn’t there but, I know they were not allowed to use same facilities with them.
I wasn’t there but, I know that our parents were forced to carry dompass wherever they go.
I wasn’t there but, I know that Apartheid was there!
But now it’s became history.
History of our parents.
History that we learn about at school.
Indeed I wasn’t there.
I just heard it by my parents and my teachers.
Many people died for us.
They died to fight for our freedom.
Today we are living peacefully because of them .
Indeed this is a new South Africa.
