I thought I knew how strong I was and what I could handle.

Until life decided it was time to push me harder and try to break me.

Everything that could go wrong did.

Every mistake I could make, I made.

Every bad thing that could happen did.

But I learned something about myself in the midst of the storm.

That I was capable of much more than I realised.

I was stronger, more courageous and more determined than I knew I could be.

You see, every test and obstacle in my life before now just prepared me for these moments.

These times that I thought I couldn’t survive,

They were just stepping stones to greater places

And bolder victories that were waiting for me all along.

I didn’t think I had this in me,

But I’ve never been happier to be wrong.

I am capable.

I am stronger.

I am braver.

Whatever challenges come my way, I can overcome them.

No matter how hard, how painful and how long,

I can emerge on the other side, still smiling.

Because my strength and courage were forged in the same fires

That I thought would incinerate my dreams.

But they never did.

They only made me stronger.

So, as I stand on the other side of the flames, I know there’s nothing I can’t do.

There’s hope in my spirit and fierceness in my soul that won’t ever die.

So, life, I know now that I’m ready for you.

Bring it.

I got this, no matter what you have in store for me.

And I always will.

That’s who I am and what warriors do.

We fight, rise and keep going.

So that’s just what I will do.
