I am a force of nature.

I breathe life into mankind.

Mankind exists because of me.

Responsibilties placed on me will never break me.

I’ve got the world on my shoulders.

I am strong.

I am powerful.

I birth, nurture and educate.

I bring warmth, comfort and love.

I am early to rise when everyone is asleep

And late to bed when everyone is sleeping.

I put everyone’s needs before my own.

I am there for eveyone,

Making sure they are content and happy.

The house is a home because of me.

This cruel world is livable because of me.

But they think they can insult me and belittle me!

When I am the reason they are where they are now.

The reason they are breathing.

Presidents, world leaders and the greats all came through me.

They say I am beneath men.

But how can I be beneath men?

When men came from beneath me?

I am a queen.

I deserve to be treated as such.

Streets should be named after me.

Poems written about me.

And songs, sang about me.

I am not weak or incapable.

I am valuable.

Worth more than diamonds and gold.

The human race is impossible without me.

Because it all starts with me.

A woman.
